I am so grateful to watch and be apart of the growth and evolution of THRE. In law school, I always repeated the same thing "WE NEED A NEW CONSTITUTION!" Noone listened or supported me but the vision never left my mind. After studying South Africa's reconstitution effort and process I knew it was possible. In looking deeper into why this was necessary, I coined the term social evolution. Healthy society requires a review, from time to time, of what's working and what's not working. The vision for THRE is bigger than any one individual, it is an opportunity for global respect and cooperation amongst very different People. It's an honor to use my lifetime to enable these ideas. I've worked in many fields seeking to make change. It wasn't enough. I talk to others and try to have discussions that are educational, informative, and help me grow. It wasn't enough. I vote. It wasn't enough. I joined THRE. This will be enough. THRE creates space for all, challenges ourselves, and challenges the system. THRE is what we need to create true change. “It is in your hands, to make a better world for all who live in it.” - Nelson Mandela

I feel that there is a disconnect between the desire of public opinion and what is happening politically. THRE can bridge this gap and offer a unique way to tackle existing issues. I joined because I believe in the power of this movement to facilitate change on a larger scale and ensure that basic human rights are protected as they always should have been. I discovered The Human Rights Effort on TikTok and immediately connected with the idea of social evolution, and the need for it to be considered in the development of our Constitution. I joined the team to support this work with my competencies in design and education. I look forward to seeing this evolve as more and more voices join the effort. Our country is broken and we're trying to hold it together with band-aids. I was tired of trying to figure out which band-aid to focus my efforts on and feeling very overwhelmed with all the issues when I learned about THRE. I knew right away this was the solution I was looking for. Why keep working towards individual fixes for every single issue when we can just take it back to the drawing board and fix the cause of all the problems? I have a tendency to notice injustice, have a reaction to it, and do something about it. The power to listen, understand and then act is immeasurable. THRE is applying that formula to design an organic system that champions and facilitates freedom (and pursuit of happiness) for, and by all. Freedom to me is exemption from fear, having the power to be whoever you want to be, wherever and with whomever; and, privilege to equal access, opportunity and treatment. America was founded on the idea that all people are created equal. THRE provides the platform to prove America can exist within that ideology. I have aligned with THRE because they are building the right platform to create sustainable changes in our country. Using my privilege, I want to do the necessary work to help THRE create a long-lasting, safe, non-partisan, equitable, space where impactful changes can set the course for future generation’s freedom and pursuit of happiness. “If you can think it, it can be done.” - B. The Human Rights Effort represents a vehicle to propel the progression of our society to a demographic of individuals governed under values that reflect those of the people within our society. In practice this organization is a mechanism to reprogram society to evaluate the sociodynamic inequalities that underlie our current governance and provide accessibility for disparaged communities. For this reason, I felt myself drawn in to the THRE initiative. Our society has been governed by these outdated laws that are reflecting inconsiderate and antiquated values for an absurd amount of time under the guise that they must remain our permanent foundation. Because I believe that every foundation has to start somewhere I consequently believe the with a new constitutional convention not only will our society be culturally shifted toward humanitarian rights but it will open up impactful discussions about the direction of our governance as we rebuild its connection with modern society.

I know a world where we all take care of each other is on the horizon. We can get there in the U.S. if we work together to write a new constitution for the betterment of us all. "A civilized society is one founded in people taking care of each other." -Me
